Well that is enough of the introduction. There will be a different newsletter every month so look out for them.
The Depths of my Soul.
Over the past 20 years I have had the absolute pleasure to counsel many young girls for many reasons who've expressed their intimate feelings of anger, feeling unwanted , and not understood by the adults in their lives. It really hurts my heart when these girls are very certain that their situation isn't going to change. God knows about your situation but he loves you just the same. Jesus's death was for every girl to have the abundant life, and have it to the full. When you're feeling unwanted, and having racing thoughts in your head about how awful you feel about yourself such as: no one loves me, then let me challenge you to take a long hard look at why your thoughts aren't matching up with what God created you to be.
Low self-esteem is very rampant in our society.
In my career as a Marriage, Family Therapist I have counseled an abundance of young girls from all walks of life. These girls come from different economic levels, different races, different ages, and each of them in their own way have said, "I feel worthless, misunderstood, mistreated, abandoned, abused, and just simply misused by people in my life. To carry this kind of burden on one's back, and to try to make sense of why am I the one who was mistreated is tremendous for any person. Where does God stand on abuse he,"HATES IT" God cannot agree with abuse because it isn't in his character to do so. It is not in God's plan for any girl to be mistreated, or for her needs to go unmet. If you were abused, abandoned, mistreated, misunderstood, and as a result have felt like a worthless human being these feelings come from a wounded heart. The question to ask yourself "Why is my heart wounded." To get to the root cause of a wounded heart we must be able to clearly identify the root cause. Most people flounder around in life wounded because they refuse to take a long hard look at the root cause of their pain. When a person refuses to take a look at the root cause of their pain, their pain becomes infectious. Their infectious pain could possibly harm the lives of other people ESPECIALLY those close to them.
IN other words, HURTING PEOPLE HURT OTHER PEOPLE.
The reality is that most of us know people in our culture, families, churches, communities, school, and work, who has some form of an unresolved issue or issues in their life. The question than,is, "What is a girl to do?" First, do not feel that you're responsible for another person's pain especially if your weren't the direct cause of it. Yes, most of us have hurt other people but not intending too, sometimes we say or do things that we later regret. Be careful in how you communicate with a person whose hurting because when a person is hurting sometimes their perspective isn't always clear. If you're trying to resolve a hurt from the past try to communicate with this person when you both have clear heads. If, you're not sure about trying to reconnect with a hurting person in your life always pray about it or talk it over with someone who has Godly wisdom, and trustworthy character.
Isaiah 43: 2-3 is one of my favorite scriptures. I hope that it becomes one of your favorite scriptures.
Remember, God wants us completely whole, to do his work. He has called each of us to do something special with him. In order for you to know what he has called you to do you have to spend time with him. You've to spend time listening to his direction, and waiting for an answer to move ahead in the direction he is calling you. One thing that he is calling each of us to do is simply to be partners with Jesus Christ to reach the world with his love. Your world could be your, neighborhood, your church, your park, or simply your classroom. Just remember no matter where your world is God is travelling the road with you.
I, hope that you've enjoyed reading this version of God's Favor 4 Teen Girls just as much as I HAVE enjoyed writing it.
